Claudio Pacchiega, known in the virtual world as Salahzar Stenvaag, is an Italian programmer analyst specializing in various programming languages and artificial intelligence. He has been active in virtual worlds since 2008, initially in Second Life, where he provided mentoring and outreach. He is the founder of Edu3D, a community dedicated to education in virtual worlds.
Since childhood, Claudio has nurtured a passion for immersive reality, fueled by reading science fiction and science fiction books. During his adolescence, he developed an interest in role-playing games like “Dungeons & Dragons,” organizing sessions both on gameboards and in real environments, such as Fenestrelle Castle and La Mandria Park in Venaria Reale.
In 2007, he discovered Second Life with the intention of using it to organize low-cost international meetings. Although his association at the time was reluctant to use the Internet, he decided to immerse himself in this virtual world, finding a universe rich in creative and social possibilities. He has dedicated countless hours to the platform, building a parallel life that has enriched his personal and professional experience.
Over the years, he has contributed to various virtual world educational initiatives, collaborating with teachers and volunteers to promote the use of platforms such as OpenSim and Craft World. He has organized courses on Blender, scripting, and other virtual reality skills, fostering the creation of communities of practice geared toward knowledge sharing.
In addition to his professional work, Claudio is a passionate virtual world educator, using his experience to facilitate learning and collaboration among users of diverse backgrounds and skill sets. His avatar, Salahzar Stenvaag, is recognized as a key figure in the Italian virtual world community.
